How it works

Three steps to cleared goods.

Send us your paperwork before the goods arrive and we do the rest, whoever is moving the freight.

  1. Send your documents

Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or air waybill, and your EORI number.

  2. We check and lodge

We check the commodity codes, values and origin, then lodge the declaration on CDS.

  3. Goods released

Your goods are released and you get the full entry pack for your records.

Training and consultancy

Get your own team entry-ready.

Compliance support, audits and training for your own staff, from the people who clear goods every day. Useful if you lodge some entries yourself or want fewer queries from HMRC.

Do I need an EORI number to import?

Yes. Any business importing into Great Britain needs an EORI number starting with GB. If you don't have one yet, we'll walk you through applying before your goods arrive.

What is postponed VAT accounting?

If you're VAT registered, you can account for import VAT on your VAT return instead of paying it at the border. In most cases you declare and reclaim it on the same return.

Can you clear goods another company is shipping?

Yes. Clearance only is a large part of what we do. Your carrier moves the goods and we lodge the declaration and deal with HMRC.

What documents do you need?

The commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or air waybill, and your EORI number. Some goods also need a licence or certificate. We'll tell you up front if yours do.

How much does an entry cost?

It depends on the number of commodity lines and how complex the goods are. Send us the details and we'll quote. Regular importers get a fixed rate agreed in advance.
